NOTD: Gold Glitter Nails

Hey Lovelies,

I'm usually not the biggest fan of glittery nails since they are soooo hard to remove but for this special night, I decided to do something unusual. I got this nail kit back in December (it's from Isadora, a Swedish brand), it included a regular gold polish (which is on the pic) and also gold glitter. I've used two coats of the gold polish and while it was still tacky, I poured the glitter on it, let it dry a little, then I did two coats of transparent polish to keep the glitter in place. Here is the result:

Did you do special nail design for today?

A fun fact: I've just recently heard that wearing red lingerie on New Years's Eve will bring you luck and love next year! So even if I'm not yet entirely sure what I'm going to put on tonight, red is certainly going to be my choice of underwear! :)

Happy New Year Lovelies! :)

New Year's Eve Make-up Idea With Step-by-step Guide

Hey Lovelies,

With New Years's Eve approaching I decided to sit down and create something absolutely crazy. The look I created is really bold,  if you feel that it's too much for you, just tone it down, or skip the bold cheeks and/or the bold lips that I've paired with the exaggerated eyeliner. I've used a really crazy amount of make-up, this is actually the point which I call "it doesn't look like me any longer, it looks like the make-up". However, this is the time of the year to do something unusual, so here is the look I created:
This is how I went to party :)
On this picture I'm wearing MAC Violetta Lipstick (in the product list I've mentioned Show Orchid but I had to realize that pink hair requires darker lips)

Make-up Of The Day With The Naked Palette And Bright Cheeks

Hey Lovelies,

I did this make-up recently for an evening out and I liked it so much that I decided to recreate it for you. The look included a nude eye with bold cheeks and lips. I've used my well-loved Naked Palette (the original one, that's still my favorite) for my eyes and one of my insanely pigmented MAC Pro blushes (Azalea) for my cheeks.

Review Of The Rockateur By Benefit

Hey Lovelies,

I know that the Rockateur has been around for a while, but I was trying to convince myself that I already have way too many blushes, and honestly, can this product be special enough that I need this? I do like the box o'powders that I have in my collection, I own Hoola, Coralista and Bella Bamba. However, I did some shopping recently at the Benefit counter and in the end, I gave it in and got the Rockateur.

Super Fast Purple Smoky Eye

Hey Lovelies,

I've been planning on doing a purple smoky eye look for the holidays, just in case you are bored with the warm, golden, brownish tones. I've used my Urban Decay Smoked Palette to achieve this look, and I wanted to keep it as simple as possible. I've used a dark matte brown shade in my crease (Backdoor) and put the purple shade from the palette (Rockstar) on my lid. I skipped my winged liner for this look, I've just smudged some black liner (Feline) to my upper lash line. The whole look was ready relatively fast, which makes it great for the busy holiday time.

Products I've used to create this look:
Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly; UD Smoked Palette eyeshadows Rockstar, Backdoor, Blackout, Freestyle, Kinky; MAC e/s in Nylon (inner corner highlight); MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline; Eyeko Black Magic Mascara; Benefit Brows A-go-go  Brow And Eye Shaping Kit
Face: Lancome Teint Miracle in 03; Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in 40 Soft Beige; MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Plus; MAC Pro Sculpting Powder in Sculpt; MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose LE
Lips: MAC Lipstick in Creme d'Nude; MAC Dazzleglass in Moth to Flame

What shade do you enjoy using around the holiday season?

NOTD: Forever Yummy

Hey Lovelies,

Hope you all are having an amazing Christmas! Today I finally had some time to do my mani -the past few days have passed in a crazy rush- and I had to stick with the traditional holiday shades! I've chosen a classical, cool-toned red, Forever Yummy by Essie. It's one of Essie's best-selling shades, it's a stunning red, perfectly opaque in two coats.

Essie Forever Yummy

Aaaaand here is a little sneak peak of what I got for Christmas!

I'm going to match my nails with a red lip today! What are your make-up plans? :)

Gel Liner Comparison: MAC vs Bobbi Brown

Hey Lovelies,

As by now you probably have all noticed, my signature make-up look is a nude eye with a winged liner. I've been wearing this look with slight changes for years now, I love how classy it looks and you can spice it up with any bold lipstick. For creating your winged liner, you could use several products: gel liner, liquid liner or an eye pencil. The sharpest and most dramatic result is achieved with liquid or gel products. I personally prefer a gel liner, I've been using MAC Blacktrack for years now and I really like it. I apply it either with an angled brush (MAC 263 or 266) or a very fine brush with a pointed tip (Louise Young LY23).
Since I'm very low on my MAC gel liner, I decided to purchase the Bobbi Brown one, so I can finally compare them. I've read some really great reviews on the Bobbi one and I was always curious about it. Since both brands are owned by the same company (Estee Lauder), I expected them to be rather similar.

Here is the packaging:

Recent Haul (Benefit, Essie, Butter London)

Hey Lovelies,

I've done some shopping lately and I very briefly wanted to share with you what I got. I needed a back-up for my Erase Paste so I visited to Benefit counter and that's how the story started. :)

Here is my loot:

I've been wanting to try the Hello Flawless Foundation for a while now, since I have the Hello Flawless Powder, which I use on a regular basis and I really like. I will review this foundation in a separate post after using it for a few weeks. Another product I've been wanting from Benefit was the High Brow, since I already have the Eye Bright which is a really nice addition to your collection. Now of course none of these products are must haves, you could always just use an eyeshadow to highlight your brow bone or inner corner, but I really like that they come in a pencil form. The Erase Paste I've been using for more than a year now and I really like it!

I also wanted to pick up some nail polishes and I ended up with the these two: Toff by Butter London and Forever Yummy by Essie. Forever Yummy is a classical, cool toned red which for some mysterious reason photographed very pinky. Toff is a really interesting, rosy shade, I will post pictures of both of them on my nails.

So have you done any shopping lately? Is something on your x-mas wish list? Let me know in the comments!

Festive Make-up Idea

Hey Lovelies,

Hope you are all having an amazing December! For me this month is absolutely crazy, full of work so I've had very little time to spend on my blog. However, I have a few make-up ideas that I want to share here. For this post, I have used classical christmasy colors, I've created a golden smoky eye. I'm planning on doing a purple smoky eye as well, or if you have any requests that you would like to see, please let me know in the comments.

Here is the look I've created for today:

For my base, I've used a glittery gel liner, Gilt Gourmet Fluidline by MAC. This one was limited edition, it came out with the Indulge collection this autumn. This product, when used as a gel liner is an absolute nightmare, I've tried to work with it a couple times and it was extremely chunky and had horrible fall-out. It still had issues with fall-out when used as a base, but if you do your eyes first, you can remove it and you will be left with a nice, glittery base. If you don't have this particular one, you could use any golden cream shadow as your base. I skipped my winged liner for this look, I wanted to let my falsies do their job (I still did eyeliner of course, I just didn't wing it out this time). I've used my Dolly Wink lashes, which are only available in the Asian market but they are absolutely amazing. (I got mine from ebay) For my eyelid color, I've mixed to shades, both by MAC, Goldmine and Amber Lights. Both my base and Goldmine e/s were on the cooler side and I wanted to give the look some warmth, that's why I mixed Amber Lights in.

Here is another picture of my make-up:

Products I've used to create this look:
Eyes: Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base; MAC Gilt Gourmet Fluidline; MAC Eyeshadows in Goldmine, Amber Lights, Wedge, Saddle, Carbon, Blanc Type; MAC Blacktrack Fluidline; Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara; Dolly Wink Lashes in No. 1 Dolly Sweet; MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack;  Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash
Face: Benefit The PoreFessional; Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Santa Fe; Benefit Erase Paste in Medium; MAC Prep& Prime Translucent Finishing Powder; Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Make-up Base; MAC Pro Blush in Bright Coral; Nars Miss Liberty Highlighter
Lips: MAC Syrup Lipstick; Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Naked

Earrings: ASOS
Cardigan: All Saints

Review Of Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick In Naked

Hey Lovelies,

Urban Decay has recently released a new lipstick line, the Revolution Lipsticks, which claims to be long-lasting, very pigmented, hydrating and creamy. I've seen some good reviews on this formula so I decided to give it a try. I'm on a permanent mission to find the perfect my lips but better shade, so I was mostly checking the neutrals. The stronger, red shades look amazing, but I already have way too many bold shades in my collection. So I was going back and forth between Naked and Fiend (Naked is more of a brownish pink, while Fiend is more rosy). Eventually I ordered Naked and I've been loving it ever since I received it.

Warm Shades Are In For Me

Hey Lovelies,

It's crazy how we are just a few weeks away from X-mas and New Year's Eve! I already started looking around in my collection to think about holiday make-up ideas. And of course holiday nail ideas. Everything glittery and shimmery is in right now! Look at my new treasure:

Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Untold

This is Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Untold and I got it especially for the holiday season! I can't wait to show you this little beauty on my nails! Deborah Lippmann had a beautiful limited edition red glittery nail polish (I can't recall the name, but if you can, help me out in the comments) which I wanted so badly but never managed to put my hands on. Since then I've always been on a hunt for red glittery shades. :)

For my daily make-up, I just started experimenting with my warmer browns. I've used all MAC eyeshadows for my look, all of them are in the permanent line. Here is the make-up I came up with:

Products I've used to create this look:
Eyes: Stila Smudge Pot in Kitten; MAC Eyeshadows in Woodwinked, Folie, Mulch, Handwritten, Blanc Type; MAC Blacktrack Fluidline; Nars Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte; Eyeko Black Magic Mascara; Benefit Brow Kit; MAC Eyebrow Gel in Clear
Face: Benefit The PoreFessional; Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in N125 mixed with MAC Lustre Drops in Sun Rush; Benefit Erase Paste in 2 Medium; MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW 20& NW25; Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre in 30; MAC Prep& Prime Translucent Finishing Powder; MAC Harmony Blush; Nars Madly Blush
Lips: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Cherry Tart

And please notice my adorable red lippie shaped earrings! They are from H&M and they are my newest obsession! :)

Shimmery Eyes On The Last November Day

Hey Lovelies,

I can't believe we're already at the end of this month, it went by superfast! As holiday season is approaching, I got in the mood to create a more shimmery make-up than what I would usually wear for everyday, but after all, it's weekend time! :) I originally wanted to use on my eyes my new addiction, my Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Palette, but then I've found and old LE pigment by MAC (Mauvement) which added a lot of glam to my look. If you don't have it, you could replace it with a glittery eyeshadow, I believe Tempting by MAC would work perfectly. For my eye base, I've used  the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick, and I have to say that it claims what the name stands for, it wore perfectly the whole day, there were still no signs of creasing or fading at the end of the day, when I was removing my make-up. If you haven't tried these Cream Shadow Sticks, you absolutely have to!

Here is the look I created:

Products I've used to create this look:
Eyes: Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Bittersweet; MAC Eyeshadows in Mystery, Wedge and Ricepaper; MAC Pigment in Mauvement LE (with MAC Fix+); MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack; Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara; Chanel Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Naturel
Face: Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer; Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in N125;  Benefit Erase Paste in Medium; Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre in 30; Chanel Joues Contraste in 72 Rose Initiale
Lips: Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense in 30; NARS Lipgloss in Easy Lover

Top: Michael Kors

So how is your daily make-up routine changing with the holiday season approaching? :)

Look Of The Day Using Nars Ride Up To The Moon Palette

Hey Lovelies,

Here is another super-simple but stunning eyeshadow look for today. I've used my new addiction, Nars Ride up to the Moon palette to create it. I wanted to use a green eyeliner with it, since it complements the warm browns in the palette beautifully and it's great for this season too. The one I've used (MAC Dark Envy) was a limited edition product, but I'm pretty sure Bobbi Brown has something similar in the permanent line, and possibly Maybelline too, if you're looking for a more affordable alternative. I'm planning to do a separate post about the eyeshadow palette itself, but for now, here is the look I created with it:

Products I've used to create this look:
Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly; Nars Ride up to the Moon Eyeshadows (Argentina, Isolde, Biarritz, Fez, Cordura); Sigma Dual-ended Highlighter Pencil; MAC Fluidline in Dark Envy; Clinique High Impact Mascara, Nars Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte; Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara; Chanel Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Naturel; MAC Brow Set in Clear
Face: MAC Prep& Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast; Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Santa Fe; Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla and Honey (mixed); MAC Prep& Prime Translucent Finishing Powder; Nars Orgasm Illuminator; Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre in 30 Naturel; Benefit Hoola Bronzer; Jouer Powder Blush in Bloom
Lips: Chanel Lip Definer in Peche; MAC Cremesheen Glass in Fever Isle LE.

And a quick look on my nails:

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Blood Orange

What is your favorite eyeshadow palette at the moment? Let me know in the comments! :)

Basic Brushes For Beginners

Hey Lovelies,

I decided that it's time for a brush post here. Brushes are so important when applying your make-up that I would say good quality brushes are even more important than good quality make-up. You can achieve a nicer result using good brushes with not so good make-up than the other way around. I'm always on a hunt for good new brushes, I have tried several brands while building my collection. I made this list with the most basic brushes that I would purchase if I was just beginning to get serious about make-up. For this post I've chosen all MAC brushes for the simple fact that they are widely available and great for starting to build your kit.

Here are the five brushes I have chosen:

MAC 130, 129, 239, 217, 266

MAC 130
First of all, you are going to need a good foundation brush. There are several possibilities regarding the shapes or the bristle types, but I would recommend something with either synthetic or synthetic and natural bristles, like this MAC 130. The mixture of the two types of hair will ensure flawless application. Synthetic brushes are typically better for applying cream or liquid foundation, because they don't absorb the products. If you're looking for a more affordable alternative, I really like the Real Techniques buffing brush as well.

MAC 129
Next, you are going to need a brush for powder, blusher, and bronzer. The MAC 129 can do all these tasks for you. Now I'm going to be honest, this is not my favorite brush in the whole wide world because I find it a little scratchy, but I couldn't think of a more versatile brush than this. I could think of better brushes for powder, blusher or bronzer, but not united in one product, like the 129. It's big enough to use for powdering your face, gives you enough control to put blusher on your cheeks, and, with the slightly tapered head, you could even do contouring.

MAC 239
It's time to concentrate on the eyes now. You will first need a flat shader brush with firm bristles to pat on color to your lids. For this purpose, I couldn't think of anything that works better than the 239. If you prefer something with a larger head, you could try the MAC 252 or the Laura Mercier All Over Eye Color Brush, which is one of my personal favorites.

MAC 217
This brings us to the crease work phase in our imaginary make-up application process and to the most versatile brush on my list: the well-known 217. You can use it to apply shadow in your crease, blending out any harsh edges; but you could also use this brush on your face, to contour your nose, or maybe even to add highlighter.

MAC 266
Even if you are not planning to use eyeliner, which would be the classical use of an angled brush, this one will come in very handy for your kit. You can use it to fill in your eyebrows, or to apply shadow under your eyes, or to concentrate color in your crease. The 266 is made of natural bristles, it has a synthetic version too, the 263, but I prefer the 266.

Which brushes do you think are essential?

Hello November!

Hey Lovelies,

So November, my least favorite month of all, is really here, with typical November weather. It's grey, windy and rainy where I live and these are the exact reasons why I hate this month. I wanted to do an October favorites post but I'm kinda late with that, so I figured I would rather write about a few things that I love already in November. My summer tan is really just a distant memory by now, but there is one thing I like about getting paler, and it's Exhibit A by Nars.

I'm convinced that Exhibit A looks most beautiful on lighter complexions, and I love wearing it with the Chanel lipstick I have on in the picture above. I discovered this combo last winter and this was one of my go-to looks. I like keeping everything matte with this look, I even skipped highlighter and all I have on my eyes is a very natural, matte look (I've used my Naked Basics palette). A lot of chics are afraid of using Exhibit A, because it's sooooo, sooooo pigmented, but if you use a light hand with it, you can create a beautiful, natural flush with it. (I applied it with a MAC 129 brush and softened it with a clean MAC 187)

Purple Smoky Eyes With A Hint Of Green

Hey Lovelies,

I've been wearing this make-up yesterday and I wanted to make a post about it. It's more colorful than what I usually wear -you guys know I'm all about neautrals- but still easy and fun to wear on a night out. You could totally go for lashes with this look, I didn't because I'm not the biggest fan of having them on, and I still wanted to keep my look somewhat light. I realized it only when I was done that I've used almost all MAC products. Some of them were limited edition (such as Push the edge pigment, although I've just seen it being repromoted for a holiday pigment set), feel free to replace them with anything in your collection. And one more tip: I usually do my eyes first anyway, but especially when you're working with dark products that are prone to produce some fall-out (like the pigment I've mentioned above and I've also used a glitter on top of my inner corner shadow), I would certainly do my eyes first, clean my face, and then follow with my foundation. Please also note that officially the glitter I've used on my eyes is not eye-safe (I believe non of the glitters are), but I've used it anyway.

Here is the look I've created:

Products I've used to create this look:
Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly; MAC Eyeshadows in Steamy, Parfait Amour, Wedge, Shadowy Lady, Carbon, Phloof; MAC Pigments in Push the edge (outer V) and Violet (center lid); MAC Glitter in Reflects Pearl; MAC Blacktrack Fluidline; Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyepencil in Perversion; Benefit They're Real Mascara; Sigma Dual-ended Brow Highlighter; Benefit Brows a-go-go Brow Kit.
Face: Benefit The PoreFessional; Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation; MAC Prep& Prime Higlighter; Bobbi Brown Corrector; Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit; MAC Prep& Prime Transparent Finishing Powder; Benefit Hello Flawless Custom Cover Up; MAC Matte Bronze; MAC Pro Sculpting Powder in Sculpt; MAC Cream Color Base in Diamonds LE; MAC Pro Shaping Powder in Accentuate
Lips: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked

Are you going out this weekend? What make-up do you have in mind? :)

NOTD: Essie Avenue Maintain

Hey Lovelies,

Today's nail post is all about my favorite bright blue nail polish by Essie. Avenue Maintain came out with the spring collection this year and I knew I needed this color in my life the moment I saw it! Essie describes it as a Parisian blue and it's simply a stunning color! It's a mid-tone blue with a cream finish and a great formula, I applied it in 2 coats today.

The color is slightly darker in real life than it looks on the pics.

So what do you have on your nails today?

Products I've used up

Hey Lovelies,

Here is a quick post about my recent empties. I've been collecting these bottles for the last 2 months and I'll have a few more soon, I'm slowly running out of shampoo again. I hope that this review will help you make better decisions about beauty products the next time you go shopping!

All the products I've used up

Soap& Glory Clean On Me

I read a lot of good reviews of this product so I decided to get my hands on it when I was in Germany. To be honest, I wasn't so wowed by it. There is nothing that I particularly disliked about it, it smells ok, it hydrated my skin ok, but I just didn't find it so outstanding after all the hype for Soap& Glory products.
Will I repurchase? Probably not.

Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Pre Styler

I'm a big fan of Macadamia products and I enjoyed this one a lot as well. I spray this on my hair after washing and I let it airdry. I did notice that my hair was easier to handle after using this and it enhanced the shine too.
Will I repurchase: I already did.

OPI Expert Touch Polish Remover

This polish remover claims to remove especially dark colors more effective than regular removers, but to be honest, I didn't notice any huge difference in action. I'm not saying that it doesn't work well, because it does, but the price difference compared to off-brand removers is not justified in my humble opinion.
Will I repurchase? No.

Bioderma Sensibio Micelle Solution Make-up Remover

I've discovered this product this year and hands down, this is the best make-up remover I've ever used! I typically use 3 cotton pads with Bioderma to remove my make-up, one on my face and two on my eyes. I just leave it on my eyes for 30 seconds and it removes all my make-up without rubbing, I just gently pull my make-up off.
Will I repurchase? Heck yes!

Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Moisturising Shampoo& Conditioner

I love love love love this duo! My hair was quite damaged after 10 years of bleaching (yep, I've just recently switched to brown) and it desperately needed some TLC which I totally got from this shampoo and conditioner! Plus the smell is really divine!
Will I repurchase? Yes!

Kiehl's Line Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate

I'm always in search of a new eye cream and concealer since I seriously dislike my under eye circles, to say the least. The Kiehl's sales lady recommended that I try this eye cream and I was not disappointed! I did notice that it helped my under eye circles, but on the other hand I feel that this creme is "too much" for my concerns, since I don't really have lines around my eyes and I'm not a fan of using anti-ageing products prematurely.
Will I repurchase? Possibly.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

I got this product about a year ago and it immediately became one of my all-time favorites! It provides a beautiful, homogenic skin surface and, along with some powder (like MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural) it gives the perfect coverage for days when you don't want to wear a foundation. A trick I also like is to blend this tinted moisturizer with a full coverage foundation (e.g. Silk Creme Foundation) for a more natural effect.
Will I repurchase? I already did.

Everyday Make-up Using The Naked Eye Collection By Too Faced

Hey Lovelies,

Today I've used one of my go-to looks for days when I'm in a hurry but I still want to create a pretty, warm eye make-up. For me the perfect tool for this is the Naked Eye collection by Too Faced. It's a very pretty and versatile little palette. I got it quite a while ago by accident: I wanted to order the Natural Eye Collection, but somehow I ended up with this and that was such a fortunate accident. Later I got the Natural Eyes too, but I don't like it nearly as much, as I like the Naked Eye. You can create a perfect everyday look with it but it could also bring you from day to night.

NOTD: OPI Dating A Royal

Hey Lovelies,

Today I felt like doing a dark mani and my choice of color was this pretty navy blue with a cream finish. Dating a Royal is certainly a three coater, when I first got it, I was really disappointed after one coat, it was super streaky and barely pigmented. But as you build up the color, it becomes a nice medium blue with an almost jelly-like finish.

So what are you wearing on your nails today? Let me know in the comments! :)

My Top 5 Favorite Lipsticks For Fall

Hey Lovelies,

Summer is undisputedly my favorite season. I've been loving the hot days with minimal make-up, my typical go-to look has been barely anything on the eyes, just some waterproof mascara (sometimes with a waterproof liner), basically nothing on my face, just some cream bronzer and a really vibrant lipstick. I love the way orange based reds look with tanned skin! However, with the weather getting cooler and cooler, my make-up routine has changed too. I can generally wear a lot more make-up without sweating it all off haha. I love wearing darker lips in this seasons so I decided that it's time to tell you which my top picks for fall lipsticks are. I wanted to narrow them down to 5, but basically I could've just gone on and on and on with the list. So here are the ones I'm loving most for this fall:

From left to right: Maybelline Vivid Rose, Chanel Rouge Noir, MAC Rebel, Nars Dressed to Kill, Revlon Red Velvet

Revlon Red Velvet, Maybelline Vivid Rose, MAC Rebel, Nars Dressed to Kill, Chanel Rouge Noir in  natural light

Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids in Vivid Rose

This lipstick is one of the newest members of my collection but I love it so much already! It's a great match with my eye color, so if you have grayish blue eyes just like me, this color is worth checking. It's very opaque, has a nice, creamy shine to it and the color is a medium-dark pink.

Chanel Rouge Allure in Rouge Noir

Now this shade is certainly not for the faint hearted! This is probably the most vampy lipstick I own, it's a very very dark burgundy color. Now working with darker shades can be more complicated, they have a tendency to make your lips look thinner so I would certainly recommend using a lipliner with them. The formulation of the Chanel Rouge Allures is probably my favorite lipstick formulation ever, they are very creamy, hydrating and long-lasting.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet

Red Velvet is a dark, vampy, blue based red with a very light and creamy texture. It's quite moisturizing too as most members of the lip butter family. This shade is a great alternative if you're leaning towards a vampy red but the Chanel alternative is too bold for you.

MAC Lipstick in Rebel

Rebel is one of the most well-known and classical shades for fall/winter. It's a beautiful deep berry color, which looks more purple in the tube than on the lips. For me it's not drying at all and even when the color wears off, I'm left with nice stained lips.

Nars Satin Lipstick in Dressed to Kill

Nars describes this color as a fuchsia rose with gold shimmer and the fun fact about it is that it originally came out with the spring collection. I fell in love with the color immediately but somehow I didn't find it appropriate for spring at all, particularly with the gold shimmer. But since fall has arrived, I've rediscovered this beauty, it's so pretty without being too much. If you like reds with very strong rosy undertone, you should certainly check this color out!

My basic make-up on the pictures:
Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly; Louise Young Essential Eye Palette (Ting, Maowi, Black Bear); Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara; Chanel Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Naturel.
Face: MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC37; MAC Prep& Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast; Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla and Honey (mixed); Bare Escentuals Well Rested Eye Brightener; Chanel Creme Blush in Revelation.

So which lipsticks are you loving for fall? :)
