An Everyday Look Using Lorac Pro To Go Palette

Hey Lovelies,

I got super excited yesterday when I finally received my new Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick! I'm always on a hunt for a MLBB shade so I got it in a fairly neutral color, Naked. I will post a whole review on the lipstick later this week, but today I had to use it for my daily make-up! I wanted to go with a subtle look, which would be perfect for work, or even school!

Here is the look I came up with:

Products I've used to create this look:
Eyes: MAC Painterly Paint Pot; Lorac Pro To Go Palette eyeshadows in Pearl, Mink; Sigma Dual Ended Brow Highlighter; Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner in Black Mauve Shimmer Ink; Le Volume de Chanel Mascara; Nars Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte; Chanel Brow Pencil in Brun Naturel; MAC Eyebrow Gel in Clear

NOTD: Essie Avenue Maintain

Hey Lovelies,

Today's nail post is all about my favorite bright blue nail polish by Essie. Avenue Maintain came out with the spring collection this year and I knew I needed this color in my life the moment I saw it! Essie describes it as a Parisian blue and it's simply a stunning color! It's a mid-tone blue with a cream finish and a great formula, I applied it in 2 coats today.

The color is slightly darker in real life than it looks on the pics.

So what do you have on your nails today?

Products I've used up

Hey Lovelies,

Here is a quick post about my recent empties. I've been collecting these bottles for the last 2 months and I'll have a few more soon, I'm slowly running out of shampoo again. I hope that this review will help you make better decisions about beauty products the next time you go shopping!

All the products I've used up

Soap& Glory Clean On Me

I read a lot of good reviews of this product so I decided to get my hands on it when I was in Germany. To be honest, I wasn't so wowed by it. There is nothing that I particularly disliked about it, it smells ok, it hydrated my skin ok, but I just didn't find it so outstanding after all the hype for Soap& Glory products.
Will I repurchase? Probably not.

Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Pre Styler

I'm a big fan of Macadamia products and I enjoyed this one a lot as well. I spray this on my hair after washing and I let it airdry. I did notice that my hair was easier to handle after using this and it enhanced the shine too.
Will I repurchase: I already did.

OPI Expert Touch Polish Remover

This polish remover claims to remove especially dark colors more effective than regular removers, but to be honest, I didn't notice any huge difference in action. I'm not saying that it doesn't work well, because it does, but the price difference compared to off-brand removers is not justified in my humble opinion.
Will I repurchase? No.

Bioderma Sensibio Micelle Solution Make-up Remover

I've discovered this product this year and hands down, this is the best make-up remover I've ever used! I typically use 3 cotton pads with Bioderma to remove my make-up, one on my face and two on my eyes. I just leave it on my eyes for 30 seconds and it removes all my make-up without rubbing, I just gently pull my make-up off.
Will I repurchase? Heck yes!

Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Moisturising Shampoo& Conditioner

I love love love love this duo! My hair was quite damaged after 10 years of bleaching (yep, I've just recently switched to brown) and it desperately needed some TLC which I totally got from this shampoo and conditioner! Plus the smell is really divine!
Will I repurchase? Yes!

Kiehl's Line Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate

I'm always in search of a new eye cream and concealer since I seriously dislike my under eye circles, to say the least. The Kiehl's sales lady recommended that I try this eye cream and I was not disappointed! I did notice that it helped my under eye circles, but on the other hand I feel that this creme is "too much" for my concerns, since I don't really have lines around my eyes and I'm not a fan of using anti-ageing products prematurely.
Will I repurchase? Possibly.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

I got this product about a year ago and it immediately became one of my all-time favorites! It provides a beautiful, homogenic skin surface and, along with some powder (like MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural) it gives the perfect coverage for days when you don't want to wear a foundation. A trick I also like is to blend this tinted moisturizer with a full coverage foundation (e.g. Silk Creme Foundation) for a more natural effect.
Will I repurchase? I already did.

So what products have you finished lately? Let me know in the comments how you liked them!

Everyday Make-up Using The Naked Eye Collection By Too Faced

Hey Lovelies,

Today I've used one of my go-to looks for days when I'm in a hurry but I still want to create a pretty, warm eye make-up. For me the perfect tool for this is the Naked Eye collection by Too Faced. It's a very pretty and versatile little palette. I got it quite a while ago by accident: I wanted to order the Natural Eye Collection, but somehow I ended up with this and that was such a fortunate accident. Later I got the Natural Eyes too, but I don't like it nearly as much, as I like the Naked Eye. You can create a perfect everyday look with it but it could also bring you from day to night.

Naked Eye Collection by Too Faced

Here is the look I came up with:

A closer look on the eyes:

Products I've used to create this look:

NOTD: OPI Dating A Royal

Hey Lovelies,

Today I felt like doing a dark mani and my choice of color was this pretty navy blue with a cream finish. Dating a Royal is certainly a three coater, when I first got it, I was really disappointed after one coat, it was super streaky and barely pigmented. But as you build up the color, it becomes a nice medium blue with an almost jelly-like finish.

So what are you wearing on your nails today? Let me know in the comments! :)

My Top 5 Favorite Lipsticks For Fall

Hey Lovelies,

Summer is undisputedly my favorite season. I've been loving the hot days with minimal make-up, my typical go-to look has been barely anything on the eyes, just some waterproof mascara (sometimes with a waterproof liner), basically nothing on my face, just some cream bronzer and a really vibrant lipstick. I love the way orange based reds look with tanned skin! However, with the weather getting cooler and cooler, my make-up routine has changed too. I can generally wear a lot more make-up without sweating it all off haha. I love wearing darker lips in this seasons so I decided that it's time to tell you which my top picks for fall lipsticks are. I wanted to narrow them down to 5, but basically I could've just gone on and on and on with the list. So here are the ones I'm loving most for this fall:

From left to right: Maybelline Vivid Rose, Chanel Rouge Noir, MAC Rebel, Nars Dressed to Kill, Revlon Red Velvet

Revlon Red Velvet, Maybelline Vivid Rose, MAC Rebel, Nars Dressed to Kill, Chanel Rouge Noir in  natural light

Revlon Red Velvet, Maybelline Vivid Rose, MAC Rebel, Nars Dressed to Kill, Chanel Rouge Noir with flash

Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids in Vivid Rose

This lipstick is one of the newest members of my collection but I love it so much already! It's a great match with my eye color, so if you have grayish blue eyes just like me, this color is worth checking. It's very opaque, has a nice, creamy shine to it and the color is a medium-dark pink.

Me wearing Vivid Rose

Chanel Rouge Allure in Rouge Noir

Now this shade is certainly not for the faint hearted! This is probably the most vampy lipstick I own, it's a very very dark burgundy color. Now working with darker shades can be more complicated, they have a tendency to make your lips look thinner so I would certainly recommend using a lipliner with them. The formulation of the Chanel Rouge Allures is probably my favorite lipstick formulation ever, they are very creamy, hydrating and long-lasting.

Me wearing Rouge Noir (with NYX Deep Purple Lip Liner)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet

Red Velvet is a dark, vampy, blue based red with a very light and creamy texture. It's quite moisturizing too as most members of the lip butter family. This shade is a great alternative if you're leaning towards a vampy red but the Chanel alternative is too bold for you.

Me wearing Red Velvet

MAC Lipstick in Rebel

Rebel is one of the most well-known and classical shades for fall/winter. It's a beautiful deep berry color, which looks more purple in the tube than on the lips. For me it's not drying at all and even when the color wears off, I'm left with nice stained lips.

Me wearing Rebel (with Magenta Lip Liner by MAC)

Nars Satin Lipstick in Dressed to Kill

Nars describes this color as a fuchsia rose with gold shimmer and the fun fact about it is that it originally came out with the spring collection. I fell in love with the color immediately but somehow I didn't find it appropriate for spring at all, particularly with the gold shimmer. But since fall has arrived, I've rediscovered this beauty, it's so pretty without being too much. If you like reds with very strong rosy undertone, you should certainly check this color out!

Me wearing Dressed to Kill

My basic make-up on the pictures:
Eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Painterly; Louise Young Essential Eye Palette (Ting, Maowi, Black Bear); Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara; Chanel Eyebrow Pencil in Brun Naturel.
Face: MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC37; MAC Prep& Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast; Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla and Honey (mixed); Bare Escentuals Well Rested Eye Brightener; Chanel Creme Blush in Revelation.

So which lipsticks are you loving for fall? :)

Party Make-up Idea For The Weekend: Black Smokey Eye Using The Lavish Set By Anastasia Beverly HIlls

Hey Lovelies,

With the weekend approaching I got inspired to do a bold look. If you recreate this (or something similar) you will surely be the star of the party! If a black smokey eye is too heavy for you, you could always use browns or purples instead. I'm still playing around with my Lavish palette, so that was the main product I used to create my look.

This is the look I came up with:

Here is a closer look on the eyes:

Products I've used on my eyes: MAC Paint Pot in Blackground; Anastasia Lavish Set eyeshadows: Black Diamond, Sienna, Orange Soda; MAC eyeshadow in Blanc Type; Benefit Eye Bright; Benefit They're Real Mascara; Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara; Red Cherry #113 Lashes; MAC Blacktrack Fluidline; Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Perversion; Anastasia Brow Wiz in Medium Ash.

Here is a closer look on my cheeks:

Products I've used on my face: Laura Mercier Oil-free Foundation Primer; Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Medium Ivory; MAC Prep& Prime Highlighter in Bright Forecast; Bobbi Brown Corrector in Bisque; MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW20 and NW25 (mixed); Bare Escentuals Well Rested Eye Brightener; MAC Prep& Prime Transparent Finishing Powder; Benefit Hello Flawless Custom Cover Cover Up in Honey, I'm Cute As A Bunny; Jemma Kidd Make-up School Highlighter in Iced Gold; theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer; Sleek Face Form Kit in Light; Sleek Blush in Rose Gold.

Products I've used on my lips: MAC Creme d' Nude lipstick; Nars Turkish Delight Lip Gloss; Nars Dolce Vita Lip Gloss (I layered the two on each other because I found Turkish Delight too ghostly).

Let me know in the comments what is your go-to party make-up look! :)

Hey Lovelies,

NOTD: Butter London Come To Bed Red

Hey Lovelies,

I've been craving for a classic mani these days so I picked up one of my go-to basic red polishes. Come to Bed Red is a classic red with a creme finish. I usually reach for warm toned, more orangey reds (both on my nail and lips) but from the cooler undertone shades, this is my pick. I've noticed that it photographs warmer but in real life it's undisputedly a blue based color. The quality is what you would expect from Butter London: excellent. It wears well, without (or with minimum) chipping for almost a week (I used a base coat and a top coat too).

Here is me wearing the polish:
