It's been forever since I did a make-up of the day post, so I thought it's right about time. Obviously I wanted to use my new Bobbi Brown palette, which I'm completely obsessed with, I have recently reviewed it here.
Here is the look I created:
It's a really simple, everyday kind of look that you could pair with anything.
The Nude On Nude Palette by Bobbi Brown has been around for a while now, and though I've been immediately attracted to it, I only got it with the Sephora VIB sale in November. I've been putting off purchasing this palette because it's on the pricier side (it retails for 65$) and to be honest, it doesn't contain anything revolutionary or very unique. However, you can never have enough neutrals so in the end I grabbed this little gem!
The palette comes with a card containing some of Bobbi's tips for use and you also get a complimentary make-up lesson at your local Bobbi Brown counter as Bobbi's treat!
I've recently posted about my top 5 favorite red lipsticks, but obviously you can never have too many reds in your arsenal, so today I'm showing you a new one. This one is from The Body Shop Color Crush line, which I've been discovering lately and I really like. This is 101 Red Siren:

Today I'm here to show you my purple palette of MAC shadows. You can check my previous post on my more neutral palettes here, here, and a mixed one in here.
Purple used to be the color I reached for when I wanted to do something special, so I've had these shadows around for quite some time. However, I don't reach for them so much anymore, I'm all about neutrals lately -as probably by now all of you know- so this palette doesn't get enough love.
Lets get this week started with a quick nail post! Chinchilly is such a classic fall/winter shade by Essie and I'm so glad I finally got my hands on it. I love grayish nail polishes, they look great for this season and they are also quite office appropriate.
The number one law in my make-up philosophy is that a girl can never have enough neutrals! Just like the search for the perfect little black dress, the search for a great neutral duo/trio/quad/palette is never over. I have always had a weakness for Chanel products, I love how classy and elegant they are. I was on the look for an eyeshadow duo that I could bring with me for a weekend off, and would give me just a basic, polished look. I've been eying with 40 Misty-Soft as well, but then decided to go with the more classical 20 Taupe-Delicat.
With the holiday season approaching I thought, what post would be more appropriate then a red lipstick one? For an evening out or any special occasion, a statement red lip is my go-to look, hence I own quite a few amazing colors. These are my top 5:
Urban Decay F-Bomb, Chanel Palpitante, NARS Red Lizard, Chanel Incandescente, MAC So Chaud
I've discovered and starting playing with quite a few new products this month, so I decided it's the perfect time to make a monthly favorites post. Not all of the products I'm including here are necessarily new, some of them are all-time favorites for the season. I'm only writing about my make-up favorites now, if I included skincare items too, this post would never end.
I decided that you might be interested in a series of my MAC eyeshadow collection. It might seem overwhelming, I own way too many shadows, but MAC shadows were the first that I started playing with when I got into make-up.
My first and most-used palette is a double-sided one. What follows is my take on the "what I would need on a desert island" kind of palette.
The Body Shop has recently released the Colour Crush nail range with 24 stunning colors. The formulation claims to be 100% vegan and enriched with marula oil. They live up to the claim of being fast drying, and the finish is nice and glossy already without using your top coat. The brush is great as well, it makes the application really easy. I really like the color selection, they managed to create some fun and unusual colors. I picked up 4 of the polishes but I have a few more of them on my wishlist.
My picks are:
As the name suggests, Mint Cream is a pretty light mint shade. It had a really glossy finish and it lasted well on my nails.
I've had this palette for a couple of months now (I got it back in May with the Sephora VIB sale) so I've had more than enough time to gather my thoughts about it. It was not a question for me that when choosing a Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palette, I'm going to pick up The Lolita, since this is the most neutral toned palette in the line, although recently another neutral one, The Dreamer was added to the permanent line. It retails for 59 USD and you're getting total 7 g product, which *sigh* could be more IMO, but after all, this is pure luxury.
It's been forever since I've done a make-up of the day post, but when I purchased the new MAC extra dimension eyeshadows, I immediately knew I will have to upload a look with them. For this look I used Silver Sun which is a beautiful minty medium green to create a green smoky eye. Green is one of my favorite colors for a smoky eye, it enhances my eye color beautifully so if your eye color is similar to mine, you should certainly give it a try!
Has any of you out there found the holy grail mascara that you never want to replace? I have a couple of favorite formulas but I always keep an eye open for new products. (right now I really want to try the new Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara) I came across the Beautenizer Mascara with a discount code so I had to give it a try and so far I've been absolutely loving it!
Summertime is always the highlight of the year for me. All seasons have charms to them but nothing compares to sunshine and warm summer evenings! Maybe this is the reason why I'm always most excited about summer collections too. The new Alluring Aquatic Collection from MAC is certainly one of the most original ideas I've seen lately. MAC has so many collections that I sometimes find it overwhelming plus lacking quality but not with this one! The beautiful packaging is housing some really amazing products. I was tempted to pick up pretty much everything but in the end I limited myself to two of the extra dimension eyeshadows and one of the lipsticks.
The boxes have a water drop pattern to them, which I find really unique and summery.
The Bobbi Brown Nectar& Nude Collection was certainly one of the most anticipated collections of this spring. I really liked the eyeshadow palette but I have way too many similar colors so I ended up picking up Pot Rouge in Hibiscus. I love this corally and bright shade plus it was time for me to try one of the famous Pot Rouges. Hibiscus is exclusive and limited edition to this collection.
The Brazil Collection by OPI is the nail collection that has been keeping me crazy excited ever since I first saw it online. I know I'm a little late with reviewing but I just recently got the polishes. I purchased 4 polishes out of the 12, the ones that I found to be the most unique. The funny thing is that I first fell in love with the bright colors but then ended up almost loving the neutral, taupy shades even more. These are the beauties I got:
Sorry for being absent for a while, my life has been rather hectic lately, but of course that wouldn't change my passion for beauty related things. I've done some shopping lately and I'm devoting this post for some first impressions that I share with you. It's not a crazy amount of make-up, rather just a few products that caught my attention. Here are my newest babies:
From left to right: Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush, Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush, Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray, ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Crayon, DJV Beautenizer Fiberwig LX Mascara
A quick nail update to start this week: I'm wearing Grape Pop by China Glaze today. I've been craving for something darker and I've found this polish in my collection. I'm not sure when this came out or which collection it was in, but it's been sitting in my drawer for a while. It's a dark, grayish purple with a really nice formula. It was almost fully opaque in one coat, but I've used two though. China Glaze polishes stay on really well for me, almost a week with two coats and a top coat.

What are your plans for the last week of the winter? :)
The collaboration between MAC and Rihanna has reached another milestone: Rihanna became the face of the Viva Glam program for this year. Purchasing a Viva Glam product is a great way to support a good cause because 100% of the proceeds go toward AIDS research, but they are always stunning anyway and this lipstick and lipgloss are no exception!
I know I'm probably the last person on this planet to get the Naked 3, but I've been going back and forth for a really long time about it. Do I really need this?Is it different enough from the rest of the Naked palettes to justify getting another eyeshadow palette? And after the long struggle -which obviously resulted in me deciding to get it- it also took my palette quite some time to get here. Urban Decay is rather hard to find in Central Europe -actually, it's not available in stores, you can order from some websites, but it's not a widespread brand here. My best friend, who lives in the States, bought it for me and his mom was supposed to bring it home for me, but she forgot to, so my friend had to post it and it seemed to take for it forever to get here. In any case, it's finally arrived and I now can play around with it all I want.
I am very much aware of the fact that my usual looks are not particularly colorful, natural tones are much rather my style. However, from time to time, I start playing around with something not as neutral as I'm used to. Here is the result of a recent experiment:
I've been planning on giving you a little insight for what I carry around with me on an everyday basis. You need to know in advance that I always do my make-up at home in the morning, so I don't really have a lot of products with me during the day. I like to keep some concealer and powder with me for touch ups, but I don't have eyeshadow for example. I can't imagine a situation that I start applying eye make-up at a public place. I usually put my current blusher in my make-up bag, but multi-tasking products are even more brilliant, like the Naked Flushed which was in my pouch for this post: it can double as a bronzer, highlighter and blusher.
I've been eyeing with Toff for a while now and I recently found it in a store, so I decided that I can't be without it anymore, and I'm so happy I got it! In my opinion, it's a very unique color, I love the way it looks on me! Toff is a medium rosy shade with a strong purplish-brownish undertone. The formula is amazing, it was almost perfectly opaque already in one coat, but I did two just to be on the safe side.

The color is perfect for autumn/winter, I can feel it becoming one of my most loved nail polishes!
I did this make-up the other day and I decided to give you a short how to. I basically just did a simple warm-toned eye and spiced it up with a bright eyeshadow in my upper lash line. I love this eye make-up, I wore this all summer with a variation of colors, the possibilities are endless. I like to add some black gel liner to the lash roots and this time I even winged it out, but you don't need to if you want to keep it more on the simple side. I thought that a bluish-purpleish pop of color would look great against the red lippie, so I used MAC Pro eyeshadow in Cobalt for my upper lash line. Aaaaaaand the red lipstick I'm wearing here is Riri Woo, amazing gift I got for x-mas and I'm sooooo happy with it!
